just rang up a1 vauxhall to see if they got a coil pack for the late type xe and he said is it the 3pin or 4 pin one. can someone tell me which one it is?

take the connector off and have a look mate,if its out of the car look at the loom and count the connector pin holes on it.

Mate, you know anyone with an XE? It's much easier to swap bits with a mate until you find the trouble maker. It's what I had to do with mine.
