Im converting my 1.4 sport to a 1.6 (x16xe)

ive got:
engine
box
ecu
loom
transponder
key
etc.....

was just wondering whats the common problems people face when doing this?

i know that saxo ecu's lock themselves if unplugged, is this the same with corsa's?

any advice appreciated

no vauxhall ecus do not lock up,

u can just change the bottom end and put the ecu, transponder and chip on and it will be the same

Pretty sure the ECU's will be fine.

And it is one of the easiest conversions iirc because they are pretty much the same engine.

Unbolt your old engine and both in the new one, could even leave you 1.4 ECU in and it'll run off your current ECU, Key and Transponder

It would run yes, but wouldn't be getting the full potential out of the 1.6!
