I bought the iphone lat year in nov when it first came out off ebay, it had and still has the 1.1.2 firmware as i have before had no reason to update it.
However, i would like to know if it is possible to setup EDGE so that i can start getting my mail when im not at home(wireless). I dont mind ifi have to upgrade as i read somewhere that it can be done by upgrading to the 2.0.0 firmware. I will not be doing this though as ill probally end up bricking the phone, ill see if i can get someone to do this for me

EDGE is just fancy GPRS.
