Can get a 1200dpi job that will print to the edges of paper from ebuyer for about £80 last time I looked. I really ought to get one too as my printing bill exceeded that by a lot at uni last year!

Really look at the prices of the ink though. I got an Epson photo2100 A3 in my first year at uni thinking I'd save money over uni print charges. To get the brand ink which is a good idea to on fairly expensive printers it can end up over £60 for a complete set of cartridges. Uni print charges can often be pretty good value when you work out the cost of doing it yourself.

Ours aren't really in business for the design guys. Their printers don't print to the edge and you can't choose the paper so I've used a different printer quite often who are pretty expensive!

(But only because I like to use full colour and good paper because I put a lot of stuff in my portfolio)
