Planning a 1.5 td and wanting to mod it slightly

Had a look about but not finding a great deal,

Plan is to turn boost up and get some more air into it.

Saw this pic in the for sale section

Does the inlet manifold not need to be connected?

I know nothing about diesels

well i think your engine would give up after so many leaves and dirt fly into it, saying that where is the air filter going? lol

No, that is right. It is going straight to the turbo then the other black pipe is going to the lower half of the inlet.

It's in 2 sections.

Isn't there usually an air box or intercooler or something on top of the manifold though? There are a few more pipes usually.

Nope airbox is in normal place like a petrol,

Just the inlet has pipe in one side and out the other

dont know why nobody's ever used one to fabricate a mantzel copy before

its my corsa lol

air filter is bolted up close to the turbo reduced lag but quite a bit and also the top inlet is in two parts the top half is actually empty and is used to reduce noise and something else which i cant quite remember

its like the small block 16v engines removing the long inlet does wonders for the engine
