Havent got search so im wanting to know a few things.
Tyre wear - how abrasive is the surface? Are the tyres shagged after 5 hardish laps?
Brakes - Do they get hotter than saying a Uk track like donnington or do they last longer due to the longer straights and faster bends?
Anyone been in the wet?
Did everyone change the oil, coolant, brake fluid before they went? ( i am)
General info please as i am going on the 24th
I love last minute ideas......

Tyre Wear - Depends on car, I would guess its a corsa. I doubt you will kill a new set in 5 laps. But the track is long and therefor if your driving properly it will get the tyres hot and sticky so they will wear at a quicker rate.
Brakes - Make sure they are up to scratch. Its not a hugely brake heavy track tbh
Wet - Your driving lines are completely different to the dry!
Make sure your car is in tip top condition before you go! And remember.... Its not a good idea to push it to the max and crash as its a long way from home!

Change all fluids before you go, won't hurt to have fresh in there.
Brakes will get hot, don't ride them all the time, concentrate on being smooth rather than fast
Tyre wear is what you'd expect of driving a country road at 70+ for 14 miles.

My experience although I didn't drive this year I went with a mate.
Tyre wear was minimal after 3.5 laps.
Brakes did start to fade but that was std spec stuff. I imagine it would be no worse than a UK trackday.
Changing the fluids? I don't think we even checked them lol
We did put 3 new tyres on about 3 hours before we set off after i rang my mate in the evening to open his tyre shop up talk about leaving things til the last minute.
The car I was in was a almost stock Xsara VTS and it performed very well. The only mods to it were a set of 15's and an induction kit but it easily held its own.
I would say take it steady to begin with but I guess it depends how well you nkow your car. He certainly didn't and after 3 corners I felt perfectly comfortable on track with him going full chat.
We found we did 1 lap left the car to cool for a bit whilst we did something else (passenger lap in another cap or watching for a bit etc) then we did another lap.
Otherwise i think we may have suffered with the brakes.
.2mm ring end gap is probably the distance to the barrier from the track or something to do with touching cloth?

Oh, standard track stuff this, but when you've been round and park your car up, just leave it in gear with the handbrake off, or your rear pads/shoes will cook to the disc/drum

I went for the first time in sep. Every lap i did was wet. The track was an amazing exeriance. Very VEry differento to driving a UK trackday.
UK trackdays are well marshalled and relatively safe, the Nurburgring is marshaled but not as well and VERY dangerous.
When i do Uk track days im at 10/10ths, as fast as my car will go.
The ring i was driving 8/10ths, you place a foot wrong your having an accident.
Just on the laps i did i say 5 x 911's written off, 1 x cateraham, 2 x subarus and 2 x bikes..
There was many more, the track was shut for an hour. This all in one day.
In the wet its lethal... so very trecherous. Every corner the adhesion level changes. In places its been resurfaced others it hasnt, i would be very careful it if damp.
One corner can be dry the next greasy as fuck. It can catch you out i had some sideways moments.
Most of all enyoy yourself, you will NEVER learn the track in the first few trips let alone first time there..
Dont go and try be a hero, and remember if you go on a TF day its a public highway and German road rules apply.
You must pass on the left only as on the road there. Pass on the right and cause an accident the police will prosecute you.
Have an accident then pay the consequences... its very likely your car will be written off and they WILL charge you £1200 per metre of barrier you damage.
Most of all enjoy it
Here is a pic from when i went.
