now i know that bigger brakes are better than the smaller ones

but when it comes to 4 pots would the difference between 256mm disks and 295 mm disks be at all great?

if you think about it this way...

The brake pad is going to be on the same part of disc less often, less heat build up, quicker heat dissipation.... better braking.

Not really needed for a lookalike track car though :/

It'll come with the usual jargon in/on the box about bedding in and refer to track use.... but they are fine on road.

Seriously - once they are in the calipers who the buggery would check them anyway if they were illegal.

I wouldnt use DS3000's for road use... They dont work too well from cold, squeel like pigs and eat discs

Think i'll just buy them then, they get great reviews and are very good on there own without uprated discs so i've read.

I need discs to go with mine as well and lookin at the ATE discs just now.

the 'pots' or pistons dont determine that... its normally the disc size...

yes... but with 4 pot you'll have smaller pistons than 2 pot, and 6 pot smaller than 4 pot normally

I had 300mm discs with HiSpec 4 pots on my corsa, under 15" wheels
