A friend turned my laptop off when it was updating windows XP. I know I need to boot of the XP CD then repair windows but I've got to this menu but I'm stuck, does anyone know were I should go from here?

Thanks for your time!

Reboot and do what you said about going through the XP CD?

edit - if anything rebooting it will probably only bring you back to that screen again anyways so u shouldnt be any further away

Well I guess you could run the Dell diagnostics for shits and giggles, see what happens, from what uve said you dont need anything to do with Grpahics adapters, NIC is networking, SATA Raid is your hard drives

That's the diagnostic partition on the hard drive. Go in to the BIOS and change the boot sequence so CD ROM is first, then it'll ask you to press any key to boot from CD, do that.

Thats the wrong menu. Reboot, wait for it to ask "Press any key to boot from CD..."

Then, press the any key
