Go down the scrappy, get some vectra calipers (from 288mm discs, most late veccy b's have them) probably set you back 20-30quid then go to vauxhall and buy a set of 2003 Mariva 1.7TDi discs which are about £46 trade.. They are four stud and bolt straight on.

2003 mariva 1.7dti discs are the same as 288 v6 discs but 4stud?

I can probably make some brakets at work to space out the 2l calipers. would they fit over the mariva discs?

There is a chap on MIG called vxlgsi that works for a company called TTV racing. He is currently finishing up a kit that will use 16v calipers, with a spacer bracket on 288mm discs. The kit will retail for c. £130, and I'm getting the first set to test on my corsa at the end of the month.

There's a thread on MIG, in the items for sale section about it. Register your interest if you fancy a set

I know that, but the post was about as vague as Russell Brands sexuality, so I thought I'd send people directly to the thread.

As a comparison, the hi-spec 300mm discs are a rotor and bell setup. Replacement rotors are c. £150+vat a pair, with bells on top, then spacers (£44).

If this setup is as good as TTVs other products, then for £130 you're getting a good increase in stopping power, without the added weight of the v6 calipers, or possible extended pedal travel
