335d as you can rag the absolute tits off it and still get as good mpg as you would driving sensibly in an m3.

Depends what you want it for. The 335d is awesome, but the M3 will sound, rev and go a lot better, other than on the motorway in gear.

A 6 cylinder, 3.5 litre engine return good MPG?

Matey next door has a 530d and struggles to get it above 20 in town.

It's a 3 litre engine

And it will do better MPG in town and out of town than the M3.

Meh, M3 for the noise and smoothness.

Tbh he probs thinks you can get 50mpg out of it

Only would get the 335 due to newer car etc.

Lucky to see 20mpg killing it around. Guy on here has one. Cant remember his name but its to do with the 335d coupe

I personally wouldnt say the M3 goes 'a lot' better, You remap a 335d and your looking at 340bhp with a huge amount of torque.

Tough decision, but i think the new/freshness of the E92 would sway me.

If money and running costs are no object, E46 M3 every day of the week.

tbh, if you could afford a decent 335d that hasn't already been to the moon and back, you might be able to afford an E46 M3 CS, not the CSL, but CS

id have the diesel if i could afford it and was sensible , m3 wouldnt lose as much money but its older
