Been fitting an alarm today and it started pissing down, so i shut the bonnet and went inside. When i went back out the bonnet would not reopen i pulled the bonnet release but it only lifts one side of the bonnet and as much as i try the bonnet will not open. 
Can you open the bonnet any other way, help appreciated.
This van is a pain in the arse!

You tried getting someone to push down on the bonnet while you pull the catch?!

everyone's at work so im on my own. Will get someone to help tonight. So if some weight is applied to the bonnet then the lever is pulled this should open it?

i find someone lifting it while you pull catch works best

even try giving it a pull up then go and pull the catch works an odd time

Sorted it, pushed down on bonnet whilst lever was pulled hard and it sprung up.
WD40'D it too, going to get a new release wire as it needs one anyway.
