I don't have the foggiest idea how EPS works, but my car HAD it until a couple of weeks ago, and now I have replaced the engine from a 1.2 16v with a 14NV (1.4 8v) on carbs...
Can I get the EPS working again with a bit of rewiring?
Should I keep the old engine so I can salvage parts that I need for the EPS?
OR...
Am I wasting my time even thinking about it?

IIRC all the EPS needs is a rev counter singal from the ECU/clocks run to the EPS ECU behind the drivers kick panel

It also needs a car speed signal.

Cheers guys. I spent yesterday evening researching it as much as I could, but haven't had chance today to work on it.
From what I have gathered, the EPS ECU is wired up to the rev counter AND the speed signal from the back of the clocks in the dash.?
I have only changed the necessary wiring inside the engine bay whilst swapping the engine, so I would assume the only wire I need to hook up is the rev counter wire that runs to my coil (already asked where this is in a different thread) and the EPS should just work?!
I expected it to be a lot more complicated than that! If I have got that wrong please tell me or I will be scratching my head for days!
Cheers guys! Much appreciated!
