these have been installed now on the A127 between Rayleigh and Basildon


will be going live from January @ the new 50mph limit

So from where is used to go from 40 to 70 it will then be 40 to 50 until basildon then 70

About time TBH, when I was younger I would love a fast drive up the A127, but now as I get older you realise how unsafe the A127 really is.

Yeah agreed with Ollie we did some crazy stuff back when people started putting XE's in Corsas

There was a CTR in a ditch just off the A127 the other night

In the boat...seriously?

The Corsa used to go sideways round that without trying....scandinavian flick if you will

I agree that the 127 is a bad place for speeding as it is narrow and has lots of bumps and off camber bits. (drive it every day so know all of the sodding things )


Just cant help but think the 1 million odd quid could have helped to fix these and make the road safer.
Mainly as I am not a fan of these average speed things, they make me nervous

saw these sunday night when i went for a drive

went through the first one at 120 leptons per hour and slammed on the brakes just after didn't know if they were turned on yet so i've been shitting my pants since then

had some awesome tyre squeal and ''holding on for dear life moments'' there. fucking focus is crap compared to the fiesta around that

it's good that the cameras are there now from a safety point of view, as i've always seen people going down that part at over a ton, but it's not going to be fun on a saturday night anymore

Used to love getting my kneedown round that

Will be a shame, have had some fun times down that road. But have seen many an accident in ditches so it has been a long time coming really.

I raced a GT2 along there, first time I experienced these and I was just thinking I was going to be playing with it until he put his foot down, my god that thing was off. Both eased off after getting well into triple figures and getting air off the bumps in the road

Had some good time's on the 127, but at the same time seen alot of twisted car's in hedges/barrier's Think it's a good thing tbh
