right!
i was told i could fit a 1.6 8v cam to my 1.2 8v and it would improve it. anyway why will it improve it?? are the lobes bigger?
and!!! whats the best way to set it up just timing spot on or degrees out??

no offence matey, but really are wasting money/time trying to tune a 1.2.
the cam will have higher lift/duration, but its just not worth doing, if insurance is a big problem wait and save up for a x14/16xe to drop in!

yeah a engine transplant is out the question, this car is used every single day and i dont have the money at the mo

best thing to do is just put up with it as it is. you could probably fit a 1.4 8v or 1.6 8v in a night anyway, if got a couple of good lads to help.
presume engine conversion is out of question due to using car or just insurance?

just using the car! i aint got the time at the mo i was thinking maybe towards next year sometime! i think its quite nippy at the mo but want more upgrades so i was going for th 1.6 cam and manifolds and throttle body. someone said it makes it able to keep up with the 1.4.

when you did this to your 1.4 did you notice any difference, thinking about changing to a 1.6 cam shaft
