I have been looking at making one using the metal from an old corsa b bonnet, just a few ?'s about when welding it do you just tack weld them in place and then grind down flat and filler over the top and also what kind of shaping would be needed for the added bits to fit over the lights or will that not be needed

yeah you can just tack them on them grind and fill just shape the plates with a ball pein hammer if needed to fit properly
