Ive got a 20xe in my corsa and it seems to run fine normally but when under hard load (full throttle mainly) it cuts out for a split second. Only way i can describe it is sort of like a fuel cut for a split second then power again. Seriously annoying because it pretty much throws you through the windscreen....

Anyone know what it could be? no EML showing or any other major symptoms btw.

i had this mate and it turned out to be white crap in the ignition amplifier, check the plug and pins, i cleaned mine and has been fine since

pump off a sri so that shouldnt be the problem unless its just generally worn. cleaned up the connection on the ignition module and checked over the timing etc... might have been a tooth out. seems ok now but il give it a proper drive later

Might have been a tooth out? Might or is? Cause thats nearly 12deg iirc. Cant see that being the problem though

Could be a series of things but knowing redtops its always the simple things.

Is it a misfire kind of lack of power or like flicking the ignition on and off?

flicking on and off. Re timed it by finiding TDC myself rather then using the marker on the aux crank pulley as it didnt seem to line up at tdc for some reason. cleaned some connections as well.

took the car out still cuts out but only sometimes? weird.

cuts on on full throttle under hard acceleration for a split second, just like flciking the igntion off and then on again.

any ideas?
