It won't start

It's been stood since Christmas eve but needed some milk this morning so decided to be lazy and take the car. It struggled to start. After a few goes the engine turned over. Went to Asda and drove her back. Started first time as normal from warm.

Now it won't start again. Engine was struggling to get going but then the battery went flat

Going to get the jump leads on it in the morning and take it to Peugeot. If not will have to get it towed

What could be wrong with it?

Also, can i just tow it with a rope and will the brakes work? The garage is only 5 minutes away.

There's half a tank of petrol, oil and water. I even took the air box out and checked it hadn't sucked anything into there.

Think Peugeot need to plug in there computer and see what errors they find.

Is there any error lights on the dashboard? Or has there been? No point in getting peugout to rip you off by plugging it into their machine to find that the ECU thinks everything is ok.

Also, charge the battery up a bit and get towed to the garage, your brake servo should work with your ignition on, it'l be fine to tow!

It'll just be the battery, that's what mine was like when I had to get a jump start off you at PVS, if you'd used it an hour or so before it was fine any longer and it'd be dead again.

Get a jump start off someone, if it starts alright I can pretty much guarantee it'll be the battery.

Take it out for a decent run first tho then leave it for a while and try starting it again after a good few hours. If it starts it should be alright, if not new battery.

All lights go off the dash apart from the hand brake one. Comes up saying Oil OK too. No errors on the dash either.

Really strange how it has just gone like it has. Drove it back from work perfectly on Tuesday.

There's your problem, you're only supposed to put fuel in the tank, not oil and water too Also, Isn't the pug a diesel?? Half a tank of petrol won't be doing it any favours

What sort of pug is it btw?

My old 106 had loads of old wear and tear problems - the biggest problem it had was when it wouldn't idle properly just kept cutting out! had to keep my foot on the pedal slightly in order to keep it running it then had a remap and god knows what to finally get it sorted old fooking french cars
