i got a quote a few weeks ago for a zetec s (1.6 16v) and they wanted another £12 over the year, over my 1.0 corsa

i think they was just charging me to much for my 1.0 corsa i think..

they have saved the quote on the computer anyway so who knows if il be ringing them back today..

My insurance was cheaper for full comp than tpf&t, work that one out.

i THINK its cheaper sometimes to go fully comp because maybe they dont think your going to just rag the car and crash it into someone if your on 3rd party??

Usually depending on driver and car and "the risks" as the ins calls them, if you wanted TPF&T some companies won't quote so you get a price of (arguments sake) £1000

But you ask for COMP and those companies that didn't want to quote before can now quote and they can offer you a better deal than TPF&T so they could get you a price of sau £920

Dodgy i know So logically your getting more for less!

My father saved £300 by switching company AND going F/C

I understand the insurance thing now sort of

Moneysupermarket and confused are both excellent, insurance companies are weird for insuring different cars, for example an e36 m3 would cost me the same to insure as a 2.0 astra (both over 3k though).

insurance is a rip, im currently driving a mk4 1.6 astar for £50 a month insurance. if i get a smaller engine car its going to go up, and that with directline with discounts etc, its ridiculous !!

Am I right in saying the 1.4 16v is also older?

That is a contributing fact also, and the insurance company now has some expierience of you as you were with them with your last car.

I wouldn't be questioning it, I'd be taking it
