anyone know where to purchase spares for the linkage mechanism..ie bushes or do i have to replace the full linkage from Vauxhall.....??
the local Vauxhall dealer today advised me today that no spares are available and it costs roughly £120 ish for a new one ....ouch !
is there a way to fix or am i going to have to shell out the money for the robbing dealer ??

The rubber bush went on my old corsa around 6months ago. As far as I was aware you have to replace the linkage and it set me back around £180 to fix from what I can remember. Wasnt happy!

Might be worth having a look at it first, somtimes its just the pin that goes through the selector fork on the gearbox that breaks in half giving too much play. Other than that you can go to a scrap yard or get one second hand from here but I dont know of any places that sell replacement bushes

Think it took the garage an hour. From what I remember they had trouble geting it to select all gears, sounded like a right bastard of a job! + They had usage of the lift

Aren't the Corsa b linkages pretty much the same?
I noticed the linkages on my 1.6 GSi and 1.2 were identical.
Grab one from a later car in the scrappers.

easy fix costs £10
all linkages are the same too btw
get 4 new bushes for the linkage, and when you put in back in use a few washers for better fitment, i had no play in mine at all after doing that
