BMI etc is bull shit. You could be over weight and fat, you could be muscly and lean. I weigh too much for my height if we're judging that but most of it is muscle from the gym. Eat well, cardio, weights (muscle burns fat) and your get there. I'm really stepping up my training now ready for summer

All depends mate, nothing wrong with red meat as protein is good for muscle repair etc. Just need a varied diet, plenty of fruit n veg, probably start with going run 3 times a week for 30-40 mins a time, maybe the same on the weights and see how you get on. If your not very active that will see good results, the more active/fitter you get the more your need to do to see results. Main thing is motivation, if you have that in abundence you will be fine

running and swimming is great cardio - mix these two with a balanced diet (diet dosent mean less food) just be a bit more sensible, dont go ott on food such as chips etc.
Doing that alone will get rid of your belly and tone your stomach.

Might help if you plan your week's eating say ever Sunday - know exactly what your having for breakfast/lunch/dinner each day, you might also find it easier to stick to then as well. Simple things like no butter/less butter in a sandwich, less junk food, swap beer for spirits, cut out the sweets/chocolate etc. Every bit helps!
I just got back from a 40 min run, this cold weather fucks you up

Bread isn't great, if you must have it then wholemeal or the thin stuff (can't remember name). Fizzy stuff isn't great, again if you must then sugar free but drink lots of water/squash
Try a couple of issues of men's health, always some good work out plans in there mate.

Not really its the same with Pasta and rice if you switch to brown variants its eating stuff with complex carbs which is beneficial as cutting out carbs is a rediculous thing to do.

Dont bother its just a mag with one page a month of dietry info and the rest it adverts you can get much better info on actual forums like Muscle talk. they have subforums for diet plans and info on food.
I used to date a dietition and it really did change the way looked at food

Yeah true, it has gone downhill big time. Still find it ok to flick through in the shops and get some different ideas though

http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/healthydiet/eatwellplate/
Have a look on there, thats the basics of a healthy diet. Click on the image and it will bring the eatwell plate up for you makes it a bit easier to understand.
Some people don't deal with yeast well and thats why they might get bloated, don't avoid bread unless this is you, but try and avoid the more processed white breads and go for wholemeal.

Sickness? You must look lanky at that, i'm a few inch smaller and weight 12 and a half and still look lanky even though my legs are quite big.
