does the tv really add 10 pounds, the only thing i could come up with is that old tv screens are curved and the pixels are bigger thus making people look bigger, would this be a reasonable explanation or are celebs just fatties?

so by your reckoning they'd be fatter if there were in the middle of the screen and thinner if they were to the side of the screen. U gotta be kidding me...

You must have something set wrong, if its filmed in widescreen, whcih most stuff is now, it's just the same as it used to be except with more at the sides.
