Thinking along sports people autobiographies. Any recommendations?

I've read Gazza's which was good and Tony Adam's, which was absolute shite. That's it.

The Miracle of Castel di Sangro
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Miracle-Castel-di-Sangro/dp/075152753X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1231189358&sr=8-1

can get it used off amazon for 1p, great book, really really good, a true account of an american journalist following a small team from the village of castel di sangro in italy in 1996/97 when they made it into serie b, an amazing story and you really couldnt make most of it up.

All of Bobby Robsons are awesome, the one he wrote during and after Italia 90 is the best though.

The Miracle of Castel di Sangro is an amazing read.

Small team from a smaller town of about 5000 people getting to the quarter finals of the cup and staying in Serie B for 2 years.

Two of their players dying in a car crash then another being done for drug dealing and smuggling in cocaine from Chile.

That's next on my list!

I'm reading Lou Macari and Bobby Lennox just now. From the one's i've read, not including the Celtic one's, i'd suggest Paul Merson and Tony Adams were 2 of the more interesting reads.

Black and Blue by Paul Canoville

the first black player to play for Chelsea, 81-86 i think it was. Good story, he ended up retirting injured at about 27 and became a smack head, got cancer etc etc he obviously put up with loads of racist abuse with it being th 80's. really good book.

also as said above, Perry Groves book is well worth reading
