Transfer fee is £80
Retention is £105 iirc
If you have paid the retention and got the certificate then its ready to go on the car at no extra cost

the transer fee is £25 if your name or new buyers name is not on the retention certificate, if your name is on it as the plate owner you can allocate it to any vehicle you own for free, if you sell it on you have to add a nomanee to the document which is a £25 fee, then they can put it on their car....

Get av it to add your name to the retension certificate by filling the boxes in like a car log book, send it off and enclose a cheque for £25, and when it comes back both your names will be on the retension doc, one as a owner and one as a nomanee, both of you have the rights then to apply for it to be put on any car you own, (john) once you have it registerd to your car avit will lose the rights to the plate and it will be yours only... pritty much the same proceedure as a car log book but it costs £25 extra..
