Right ive just got round to putting the rear calibra leathers in my car and ive just had a thought. The car is registered by the Dvla as 5 passenger car but there is no lap belt in the middle. The car can hold 5 people but only four can be strapped in! Will my car fail its Mot? and have other people encountered this problem as im sure my seats mite not be from a calibra after all

1) Calibra rears aren't a direct replacement for Corsa rears, hence a dodgey fit.

2) I think its the case that if the belts are present, they have to be in correct working order. If there is no evidence of a centre belt, I don't think it'll be a problem. Its a scenario a bit like the spare wheel. No legal requirement to have one, but if it's there, it has to be road legal :-)

Precisely, if it's there, it's got to work.

Like rear wiper, don't legally need it, but if it is, it's gotta wipe

So long as the belt and so on for that seat aren't present should be fine.

That's because they weren't present. If the belts are present, they have to be in working order. If they aren't, it doesn't matter. Apart from the fronts of course.
