Ashley manifold FTW.

Magnex XE manifolds are good, but youl need to try get 2nd hand as they dont make them anymore.

Have a look on Mig you may be able to pick up a 2nd hand SBD manifold for your budget.

And you know my opinion on Janspeed manifolds Jordan.Stay clear.

Its the biggest restriction when using TBs.On a nigh on standard engine they are good and can make up to 190bhp with just TBs.

Have a look at Ashley manifolds then bud.Mines was about double the size of a standard XE manifold. And you will get 1 well within your budget.

why did they go to the bother of making a tubular manifold and then having the pipe crushed into the flange...bloody stupid.

That Ashley looks alright. Could have the joining pipe custom made then so it doesn't hang so low.

Eh?????

So the inlets good enough to flow up to 400bhp on a LET engine, but its the major restriction on the XE, even though they are the same bit of kit?

Think theres a flaw in your comment there

Inlet is not the restrion, 1 butterfly is the restriction, plus the amount of fuel going in, then getting it out again.

Swindon ran 190bhp NA engines, without changing the inlet for throttle bodies.
