Ive noticed recently that my temp gauge has been flipping all over the place. Starts out normal, and then jumps to 100 and back again. I have noticed quite a bit of coolant missing, had to top it up twice recently. I tightened a pipe goin into the expansion tank thinking it was that, but i will have another look 2day and fill it up again. Any clues as to what it could be? Thermostat, coolant temp sensor?

Nope, and no. There is white smoke, but only when u are driving for the first 5 mins. Which is normal.
