Hi,

I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM on my Macbook to 4GB. I know the Ram is SODIMM but i don't know what the Hz bit after the size is all about.

So could someone give me some help on finding some please?

Thanks

I have windows too but on the link you gave me it asks for a make and apple isn't listed.

I find that vista uses a lot of ram, especially when i'm playing the odd game or two. For £28 for 4GB of ram i'm not going to complain.

Also looking at a 320GB HDD too

Indeed, mine could do with more RAM too. Any 32 bit OS will only support 4GB anyway.

I have a file server which i bung most of the stuff onto so 160 GB is enough really.

Well, it won't be able to register that it's all there because of the graphics memory etc, but it'll be close enough. Not sure quite what it'll show up with a Mac, but Windows doesn't usually show over about 3.2GB, so only that much of it is actually usable.

With the Hz bit, that is the speed at what the RAM works at. You will need the new sticks to be the same speed as the old ones to prevent possible problems occurring.
