My uncle bought his neighbours house for my gran to move into after my grampa passed away, this was 2 years ago. the house cost £89k now my gran moved in took some time to get used to the place, but now is loving it until yesterday.
The guy my uncle bought the house from has posted a letter through my grans door stating that he has been ripped off, that the house was worth up to £115,000 as one down the road went for that price. He is now asking my gran for more money as he feels he has been ripped off. Even though he seen the valuation at the time and accepted the £89k price.
The thing getting to me the most is he has now upset a 79 year old lady, he has put her off the house now.
I just don't get how he thinks he can ask for money over 2 years later. Its ridiculous

Just explain to him, if the market had gone the other way it could now be only worth 40k and he would've been lucky.

when you sell a house you (and the buyer) sign a contract which states all conditions of sale AND the purchase price.
This like any other signed contract is legally binding. There is no way that they can ask for anything else, it's just ludacrous.....

What will have happened is he's prob desperate for money and been racking his brains for ideas to rake in some funds, just a chancer preying on an old woman.
Go round with your uncle and tell him what's what. Any more contact with him phone the police for harassment

yea think i'll go have a word with my dad. My aunt has a copy of the valuation and is writing him a letter but think me and my dad will just hand deliver it and let him know what the score is and the if he bothers ma gran again its the last thing he'll do
