i want the rocker cover of the red top thats going in my corsa painting smoke grey to match the car. a friend of myne does powdercoating but cant get a great match, so im thinking of painting it but wouldnt this just burn off?

what kind of prep was needed and how many layers of paint? also what about laquer?

i used some primer, a few coats of paint and some lacquer. all bought from halfords.

mine has got hot enough to bubble a sticker up i put on it but the paint has been fine. halfords ford signal green. awesome.

Done a few with just general primer and paint and all has been sound.

i used halfords paint and i got some heat proof lacquer from wilcos

Just bog standard halfords paint was fine on mine
