Hi Spec

Does anyone have these on their Corsa?

Really need opinions on them, would they be happily capable for a 2.0 16v Corsa that will be used on the road and on track?

If not does anyone have any better suggestions for around the same price?

tomturbo has just ordered hi spec 4 pots for the front and rear of his corsa turbo project.

Don't think I could warrant spending out for the 4 pots, would the Big Disc Conversion be capable enough?

there brill mate, well worth the money.. had them on my old corsa turbo and only got them to fade once. to do that i drove like a twat

285mm 1 piece kit will stop a 2.0 16v no probs

Only thing about the 285 kit is you have to grind the arm on the hub that goes to the track rod or the disk doesn't fit and hits that arm. if your putting weight in it with a 2L i wouldn't bother weakening anything on the streering mate. its dodgey. I bought the 285 at first and swapped for the 300 with a bell. they clear perfect

Calibra/Cavalier Turbo or V6 kit with 4 stud drilled discs

Try and get turbo calipers as the piston is a tad smaller than V6 calipers but still require the 288mm discs.Gives a better pedal feel,not so spongey and dosnt hit the floor before it starts to bite.

Oh and fiat coupe turbo discs are already 4 stud so fit straight on.

Perfect breaks on a budget and surprisingly capable on track.

Did you have to run spacers for them to clear the wheels??? and if so what brand spacers & size...

Really?? I have Hi Spec Billet 4 pots on mine and 300mm discs but had to get 10mm spacers to clear the caliper..Have speedlines too.. Are your discs under 300mm?? Maybe its a smaller caliper?? It's just the spacers put me in a world of pain as I can't get hub centric 10mm ones and the ones I have are causing the steering to shudder Brakes themselves are crazy.. Very confident feel and couldn't say a bad word about them.. Look good too

Hi Spec, ok budget brakes.

Heard far too many horror stories about brakes warping, bell bolts coming un-attached from discs, and they use EBC pads Personnal choice.

So a good budget 4 pot yes, much better than V6/turbos. But i'd rather go for 285mm Wilwoods over Hi-Specs.

Then theres Bremsport, Reyland, Brembo etc... Theres plenty out there.

As for someone using 4 pots up front and rear on a corsa tubo Errr I think your vastly over-powering the rear brakes. 4 pots up back.... 2 pots yeah, 4 pots though? Wheeeeeey to much braking at the rear.

Hi-Spec are only down the road. In fact, they are less than a mile away from Fads gaf.

i have the 308mm discs on the vx in 4pot but they are ali-belled discs so absolutely no fade from them
