thinking of going for a road trip to disneyland paris with the missus because im a stindgy bastard and cant be arsed paying for flights or a hotel just wondering if anyones been there before? or been through france?

looked on the internet and know about the reduced speed limits in the wet, warning triangle, flourescent jackets, informing insurance before you go, must be 18 to drive, seat belts, driving on the right, etc but are there any unwritten rules i should be aware of or any stupidly obscure ones??

also anyone name any good places i could stop on the way down? funny place names, things that are good to look at, views, landmarks that sort of thing. dont want to get too far off the motorways so within reasonable distance of m6, m1, m25, m20. im setting off from sandbach, M6 junction 17.

thinking of getting the ferry across or would it just be easier to get the channel tunnel?

whats driving like in paris as all ive seen of it is on the tv and it looks like a right hassle lol

and finally would it be worth investing in a sat nav with euro coverage or just invest in a couple of decent maps?

cheers

You are planning to drive to Paris for the day?

It's like a 5 hour drive from London (dunno where you're based)

Its not really cheap driving to paris.

Their Peage's are quite expensive, then there is ferry cost and petrol etc
you might as well fly.

You can get some motel rooms for 15 Euros per night. They're called Formula 1's i think (might want to google that) They're all over Europe and we stay in them for laughs when we travel back up from the Alps every year.

We get smashed and keep everyone else in the motel up
