1.6 Sport, because it's newer. Get as late as possible one. I think I've even seen X-reg's, and Corsa C's were out then

GSi's look better but you could always put the GSi bodykit on a Sport anyways.

1.4 sport if you are more on budget ( more mpg if driving sensibly, cheaper insurnace and tax) and put gsi kit on
if however running costs are not problem then 1.6 sport with gsi kit on.

Don't 1.4/1.6 Sports cost the same tax wise?

1.6 sport as they are newer and generally most are in better condition and at the end of the day you can get a Gsi kit for £300.

The engines in the late GSi's (late M and N reg) are exactly the same as the 1.6 Sport ones so it's pretty much the same car, but it'll probably have more miles and more owners. Plus it's obviously older.
L and early M reg on the other hand, you get the good engine Well, big power gains with tuning, anyway.

The Sport has 106 bhp and the GSI has 109 so nowt in it really.
I would go for a sport as said because you can get a V reg or X reg that will be newer that a GSI

Gsi's have the better interior.
I would always have a GSi over a sport, but I'm biased.
