How do you go about changing the colour mate?
When using the smudge tool doesn't it wreck the reflection?

It takes practice mate

I usually get rid of the edges of stuff like that with the clone stamp tool.

There are two good ways of changing colour but it depends a lot on the colour of the car and the background it's up against. You can either select all the paintwork you want changing and adjust it with any of the told like Variations, Colour Balance or Hue/Saturation etc, or if the cars colour is quite contrasting to the background you can go on Hue/Saturation, use the drop down menu to select the rough colour of the car and then use the eyedropper do select a part on the car, to be sure you have the right colour range.

You can either try Smudge like me or Clone Stamp like Dave. Either way will work.

The exhaust you added. It doesn't look the same shape as the original.

I think the exhaust looks fine.
Looks very good for a beginner.

BTW, the clone tool is the tool for the job when getting rid of things i.e. smoothing.
