I have ADSL broadband (BT) and BT phoneline. The broadband is working fine but I have no dial tone on my landlines  What could be the issue?

BT most probs 
We've had lotsa noise on our line for ages but BT couldn't care less.

Ive been online and it says you cant check the line if its in use, but you need internet access to check the line How fucking useless are these plebs
