just fitted a redtop into my 99 sxi but the car has electric clocks and the f20 on the xe has mech drive how do i get round it so my speedo works?
ive got an f18 out of a vectra with elec drive speedo but is it as good as an f20?

unscrew the sender on the sxi box(black cylider shaped thing) then screw it on to the f20, Then plug the original sender that should still be on the car loom, JOB DONE

need an transducer off a 1.4/1.6 sport etc with electric clock's..

the 1.0 & 1.2's have a differrent type of transducer that wont work with the f20 mech drive, it's done by magnet's on the 1.0 and 1.2 16v's iirc

ive taken the drive out and the f20 is driven by gears and the sxi is done with sensors so it wont go straight in would a cavalier transducer work

sport one wont work they use the magnetic pickup thingy aswell. either use a transducer from a cav or astra and deal with the wiring or change your clocks for cable driven ones thats the easiest way of doing it.

transducer it is then. you will just need to get a circuit tester on the sxi one and the xe one and work out what goes where
