my recent track record of picking the winning fighter has been shocking so i'm probably gonna be wrong. i hope khan looses but he is a good boxer and i think he may edge it.

Berrera has the experience and ability to embarrass Khan however there is a possibility his advancing years may get the better of him, either way I think it should be a decent fight.

I think Khan will be too full on for him but he'll have to knock him out IMO, Barrera maybe happy to let Khan punch himself out and then pick him off with eye/cheek slicing jabs in the latter rounds, there was no way this fight would have ever happened if Barrera was in his prime, so that tells you what state Barrera is in nowadays.

It's a tough one to call...

When the originally announced it I'd think khan would get beaten with ease, however looking at the two fighters, their ages, dimensions etc...

I think Khan in theory should have the upper hand, that said, Barrera won't fall over easily and will be able to throw a few to get khan's glass jaw.

I predict, for Khan to win: he needs to start REALLY strong, like he used to do - making it a really high / powerful work rate looking for a early knock down (say 3rd round).

However, what khan will do / have been told to do is use his jab, as he's got the reach advantage... So khan will try to jab, jab, jab... do no damage to barrera and then get caught by a damaging shot from barrera's fist.

I predict...

If Khan starts strong = Early Win for Khan.

If Khan starts slow = Possible Barrera Win.

If it goes the distance - then it's possible khan will get it due to his jab.

However, the way I'm going to play it on the odds is...

A bet on Khan to win by knockout in rounds 1-4 (@ 9-1) and a bet on barrera to win the fight (@ 11/10).

This means,

if I put £10 khan to get barerra early on i'll win £90, however if barerra wins overall (points or TK of khan) I'll win £22.

Risk being khan knocking barerra out in rounds 5-12 or khan going the distance on points.

However, I don't think he should risk wasting time in there and get it done asap.

Barerra recieved a bad cut recently (a month ago) which required stitches... high chance that will open up and end the fight early.

actually scrap that - gonna play my bets the other way. Knowing that they'll have khan using the jab and being v.defensive at the start.
