I've just phoned up about upgrading my phone and got told the following:
C905 on my current tarif of £25 p/month (600 textx/mins) - £350
If I up to £35 p/month I can have it for £95
They also tried to get me to downgrade to £15 p/month with 100m and 600 texts

Is your contract due for renewal? or did you just WANT an upgrade?
Are you sure the £350 is not the cost to end the current term early?
You can get a C905 free on O2

Crap deals. I've had a struggle. Ended up getting iPhone.
Bought it outright and upgraded to simplicity. Same cost but get a lot more. I bought the iPhone in an Apple store aswell because I was pissed off with o2.

I got an E71 free for 25 a month and that's not long been made available as an upgrade, something's not right with your deal.

When you speak to them next see if they can match Orange, they have got both Dolphin 30 - 18 months, 400 anytime mins & unlimited texts for £24.46 & the phone is £127.
Or Dolphin 35, 18 months, 600 anytime mins & unlimited texts for £29.36, the phone is £78.

Looked on Orange and found the phone for free, £34 p/month contract, 1200 minutes and unlimited texts.
Called o2 back with the intention of cancelling and getting a pac to keep number but decided to have another go!
Mentioned the £350 quoted and she said it sounded high, slight pause before she came back with £260, still a lot! She said they could offer me £100 credit and then the phone would be £160.
I told them about the Orange deal and they said they couldn't do a match until they had the phone in stock
So playing along, I'll call back on Monday, go through it all again the ask for my pac code when they come back with some ridiculous deal!

Why not just go to Orange if they are offering what you are after?

Could do, thought I'd see if o2 could actually give me what I want first.
I may end up ringing back and getting that PAC though!
