i just got my head gasket changed and water pump got it back and there is a wierd ticking noise, unexplainable, wondering if anyone has had same problem before and knows what it is, its not loss of oil as there is oil in the car my cousin seems to say it is the injectors would injectors tick a car how mine does, the noise is equivalent to when having loss of oil, but its wierd its coming from where you put an inlet manifold on your car, just above the rocker cover, any help???? thanks barry

injectors can be that noisy. is the car running ok?

Tappets not filled up yet?
Have you driven the car much since it was done?
Get some tubing & put it to an injector when it was running, see if you can hear it louder, if not, put it onto the rocker cover.

i had a tickin after my headgasket was changed but it was coz he hadnt put the manifold back on rite an it was blowin lol!

thats a possibility, would make the injectors louder.
