I do it, it's wrong but...insurance is too much.
also I put the logbook in my dad's name...EVEN cheaper
I intend to get my own policy when I'm 21

I've not been done for it.
I suppose they can't prove you're fronting.

I done it till I crashed my car and my dad told me I wasn't going on his again
Being a cheapskate and saving 2k are a bit different.

i've always been on my own because i wanted the NCB. probably a lot cheaper if i did ''front'' though.
people say they don't do it but then they don't declare mod's, like i didn't on my corsa until i crashed.

They are apparently cracking down more now, it's a risk you take.

if the car you want to insure is in your parents name aswell do you think that would be more convinceing?

Not really, it helps but in most cases you can see straight away.
A modded corsa is probably yours and not your parents.

And before all the little law abiding nob heads give me abuse for not registering the engine thy can fuck off theres more unregistered engines than registered nowa days anyway

Although both illegal, fronting with your parents will still end up with all parties being paid out.
People who don't declare engine conversions are tossers.
Tom tossers mate has a mapped 1.2 that keeps up with 1.8's though, we should all do that instead.
