BANG!

... I sat there for 10 seconds just thinking WTF was that. My first thought was my exhaust had fallen off again but it seemed fine... I couldnt see ANY real damage to the car at all so i went on my way... 100meters down the road and i hear a bit of metal come off my car and bounce along the road... I stopped and backtracked on foot until i came to half a what is obviously a suspension spring sitting in the road sheared of at one end. Its about 9 inches long and goes round 1 and a half times. I couldnt believe it!

I didnt notice any difference in the ride quality of my car... (its still shit!)

I have no idea if its from the front or rears. What should i do? Just take it down the garage?

Scrap it tbh.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

What car is it? Its not unusual for springs to break. A quick look/inspection of the suspension should tell you which side had snapped. Make sure the remaining spring isnt digging into the sidewall of your trye!!

This happened on my Corsa, was going down the road at 30, window down and I hear a loud twanging noise, as i pull over to see what it was a part of the spring rolls down the road towards me

I didn't realise mine had been snapped for the best part of 8-9 months; the bottom coil was hanging over the rear brake cable and must have hung on there for all of that time
