ok had my first go at off camera lighting last night with my sisters car

i only had access to a hallogen lamp at the time so it was mega bright and i was limited with where i could put the light as the extention cord was quite short

The lighting hasn't really added anything to the shots.
It's just blasting out light and making the car underexposed.
They'd have to be pointing at the car then a fast shutter.

It just looks like a car behind has it's headlights on!

The lighting is too harsh and in the wrong place. You should be looking to light the side and front from the angles you have done the pics.

as jonny said lights should be from the side or front and a bit further away imo so its not as harsh.

yeah like i said i was limited to the length of the extenntion lead, nevermnd will try again at soem point i suppose and will take what you guys have said into mind
