don't know if anyone remembers me saying my mate had bought a R26R. Well he's had it about 6 weeks and its gone wrong.

Basically what happen was he didn't think it was running right so took it to a RR to check what was going on. They told him his car was sometimes boosting more and sometimes less (don't ask me the technical stuff ) Anyways he was about to give it into Renault dealership and the engine blew. Apparently theres oil in his turbo and oil coming out his exhaust!

Renault have taken it back.....but does anyone know what happened?

Yes, the thermal conductors insulating the positronic mutlipoint injection over-ride system has failed hence leading to castostrophic failure of the core memory systems over-ride facility hence turbo melt down.

That and I also blame the cylons.

Don't think he killed it by thrashing it cause he had the R26 before that for a year and had no problems with that

Just sounds like a faulty part. I know some VXR's had issues with turbos blowing gaskets and leaking oil down the downpipes..

Might just be bad luck. Get them to slap their systems in, see if anything came up on the ECU?

Sounds like oil seals on the turbo have gone.

Won't need a new engine.

won't need a new exhaust either.

They'll replace the turbo and run it till it clears.

I did that on my astra

I don't know the exact details but thats what they've told him. if they were gonna use the same exhaust and just replace the turbo surely he wouldn't have to wait more than 10 days.
