you just miss a call off someone, see phone flashing etc and miss it

so you pick the phone up, press call and dial it straight back.....

AND THEY DON'T ANSWER! WTF have they done in that 5 seconds to not warrant answering the phone

Yes, or it winds me up even more if you try and ring them back and they're phoning you. So it's engaged.
