Every year we get ants pretty bad. It's not too bad when someone is in all day killing the bastards. Wasn't home for a few days last week and came back Sunday to find them all over the place. Mainly on work surfaces where bottles of juice are etc. Killed the little twats and bleached everywhere.

Anyway, been away again and the little fuckers are back. Even got in the fridge but died due to lack of warmth or something. £30 worth of food gone in the bin..

How the fuck do you get rid of them for good

Well yeah you can buy ant killer spray stuff but TBH they are getting in from somewhere so by getting a proper pest control type company in they'll be able to identify where the source is and plug it, so to speak.

I really did LOL at that pic

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

anti-ant powder around the doors & windows to stop them getting in the house.

Find the nest & pour a kettle of boiling water over it.

It's not a nest as such. They are all over are close

Tried that Colin, they still get in.

Have you been round the entire outside edge of your house with the ant powder? Surely if you have done that they wont be getting in from the outside, which means they could well have nested somewhere in the wall inside?

I saw this programme on TV the other day about this American pest control company, they had to do an inspection in a block of 'apartments'.

There was one place that was an absolute shithole and had no pest issues, yet one guy who's place was immaculate had an ant invasion, even the same as Andrew they were going into the fridge (fucked door seal).

Anyway, they found the source of the ants, it was actually inside the wall next to the fridge! They had to drill a small hole into the wall and spray this chemical inside it (they all had to wear gas masks so it must have been pretty lethal even for humans!).

For the sake of the callout charge for the pest control people, just do it.

You'll only end up throwing good food away.
