Is there anywhere / Any way i can do this?

My brothers corsa has 89k on the clock, but the speedo broke about 2 days ago.

I've got another speedo with 119k on it, but the car's due an MOT next week, and i don't want it to have 119k on the MOT sheet on a T reg Corsa!

Is there any way I can adjust the mileage on the new set to be correct, or can I change the display from one speedo to the other?

I'm not sure if this is the right place, or if i'm even allowed to post this, but if someone could u2u me it'd be great.

Cheers

Take off the glass panel, get a small precision screwdriver. Then put it gently into the groves on the side of the numbers and carefully push up or down the change it.

Sorted, I'll have a bash at that tomorrow then - Will this make the numbers go all wonky and make it obviously adjusted though?

That'll put more on, the cable drives don't work backwards. Plus the car is too new, is electronic on that year I think.

It doesn't really matter now - Its being broken and stripped until i can afford a redtop, as it was smashed into by either an unlicenced, or a stolen Taxi in bristol.

It cut my brother up, My brother smashed into the side of it, spun the taxi and the taxi left the scene - Brother chased until his driveshaft popped out and he came to a beautiful stop!

Luckily its all cosmetic:

Easy stuff, just a pain!
