First off Im out of their 'Connect' zone so I cant get their cheap as chips broadband, but hear it out:
To stay with BT:
£125 connection fee
£30 a month rental (line + BB)
Total £485 12 months
Sky
£25 connection fee
£10 a month line rental
£17 a month BB
£16.50 TV a month (1 pack, Variety)
Free Sky+ box, Free install (new customer so need dish and everything)
Total £547 12 months
Im going up town as there is always a Sky salesman in the local shopping centre, want to see if he can get my costs down a bit more, like he did for my dad (same packages, got BB down to £10 a month straight away, but he already had equipment)

edit 2 - just had an interesting phone call from Jeff the Pakistani, he was very forthcoming with how I can take my order out right now

BB seems a bit expensive imo

Apart from Virgin, no cheaper broadband available to me without paying the extortionate £125 connection thing

Went into town in the end and the salesman got me a couple of cheaper bits, £37.50 a month for TV (2 packs and sky+), 8mb BB and the talk package, compare that to my current BT 'deal' of £36 a month for phone and BB thats a mighty good deal for recordable telly as well
Paul - thanks for that Voyto had already u2ud me it a few days ago, BT couldnt match any prices though and they are a terrible company, I would rather pay more and know who I am on the phone to knows what they are on about
