you could limp home with the one 13 inch on.
No different to running a space saver and the rolling radius probably wouldnt be all that different depending on what profile tyres you go for.

Aren't the space savers just thinner in width than the standard tyres.Hence they save space where ever stored in the car.

my mate had this problem. he sez 2 look in the paper or here in classified section for some mug whose smashed his car up and only got 2 alloys left etc. therefore hell be glad 2 sell em cheap and u can stick it on if u have a problem. Thats wat he dun and it worked wen he got a nail through his tyre on the M1!
if its the right size, dont matter wat it looks like as long as it gets u home!!!!!

its actually illegal to carry a smaller spare wheel to the size wheels that u have on your car, i.e 17's with 14'' spare wuld be deemed illegal in the eyes of the law!

as long as the tyre size/profile gives the same or very similar overall rolling diameter there shud be no probs

if u get a 14" rim with say a 165/85/14 tyre stands it up against a 16" with a 195/45 16 tyre and they will be at the same height give or take few mm's
this is because the bigger the rim the smaller the tyre hence smaller the rim bigger the tyre this is not neccessarily true but in my case above it is as ive held them up 2gether so really should be ok ive driven round loads with 1 14" steelie and three 16's, nevver felt no fifferent and i dont belive there is much difference on 17" either

It wouldnt be illegal to carry an odd size spare only to use it.
but no copper is going to do you for it unless your driving like a complete arsehole on it.
