right my car is a T reg 1.6 16v Corsa Sport.
I've had this problem for a few weeks now and nobody can seem to find what is wrong with it.
Basically it doesn't like to idel, but if the EML light come's on 9/10 it's idels fine.
Otherwise it just cuts out and you've got to keep revving it to stop it from doing so.

But it Revs fine, but it feels like it's holding back abit.
It kicks out black smoke which means over fueling.

It's not the Idel control Valve as i have had all this stripped and cleaned out, there are no air leaks on the breather system.

When i had it plugged in the EML light means the Map Sensor Voltage High.

I know it's not the map sesor it's self as i have swapped it for another.

Could this be donw to a blocked return pipe or something still, or the EGR valve needs cleaning??

Any clue's as this would be a great help as i am at my wit's end with the car.

Thanks

tps, mapsensor and coolant sensor are all on the same circuit 5v , I think you should try cleaning or replace the egr.

yer it does all the time but only is the EML light is on, if that goes off it barely idle's at all or it cut's out.

Right i've blocked the egr vavle off now and it's till the same, but you nkow the return valve that the fuel return pipe bolts onto, could that block up or something like that?

Because when i took the return pipe off it was bone dry.

So i pulled it out and held it against the hole so that it blocked it off and let alittle pressure out, but enough so that it didn't pissed petrol everywhere, and well and behold it idled.

How often do these fuck up, do they let alot of petrol through?

Update!!!

I have found the problem.
It's the Coolant Temperature Sensor.

I unplugged the one on my brothers 1.4 sport while it was running ans well and behold it did the same thing as mine

So then i unplugged mine aswell and there was no didfference to the running on the car.

So get a new one from vauxhall and swap it over and hopefully that will be it.

Anybody know of a rough price for one??

haha i'm off tomorrow when i finish work, i finish at 4 they finish at 5 lol.

There are two different sorts, obviously mine was the odd sort the blue top one lmao, and motorsave had the black one, otherwise it would be fixxed now.

There roughly just over £12.

And it's been running like this for like two weeks, so it'll be plugs out and clean lmao
