I know there's different C20XE's, but do they all share the same ECU and loom? The engine I'm buying was originally out of a Astra GTE. I got a U2U off a guy on here selling me a C20XE loom and ECU that he had on his Corsa B. Is it guaranteed to work or do I need to check anything? He said he wants £30 for that. Is that reasonable?
The same bloke has GSi drive shafts for sale that he wants £20 for. Is that reasonable?
We want 2.0 brakes and coilovers, but they can wait until it's running. What else do we need to get it driving? I have the engine, the mounts, obviously we'll need an exhaust but is there anything else we need for the conversion?
A few people have said 'Vectra CV inners' but a lot of people don't mention these. Can anyone clear this up? Do we need the CV's or not, and if so, what exactly do we need to get hold of?

no, you have early and late type engine's
one uses a dissy other dispac
then, there is different version of the ecu/wiring for early dissy model, too
£20 is a bargin for gsi shafts, usually around £50ish
you need to use mk2 cav 1600 inner cv's with gsi shafts so they fit the box, and normal corsa outters
basically you need
engine, box, loom, manifold
mounts
shafts & cv's
then depending on which shell you've got, might need extra mount (16v/12v/pas models only)
also, you may need a twin outlet header tank - also depending on which engined corsa you've got
also will need to change rad if it's a 1.0/1.2 16v engine
shafts : either gsi, with cav inner cv's
or you can use conversion shafts with 2.0 cv's, modded hubs cav/astra/cali hub's of conversion hubs
or you can go equal lengh shafts from a cav or cali, with the above hubs
fueling : if spi model - 1.2 8v or 1.4spi, then you need a mpi pump
1.0 12v/1.2/1.4/1.6 16v & 1.4 mpi engine can use original pump
wiring - easiest on 1.2/1.4 8v or 1.4/1.6 16v
the 1.0 12v or 1.2 16v are slighly harder
pas depending if you want it or the type you've got, you may need an extra mount for the pump(liquid type) epas no extra mount needed
think that about covers it

ok, eaiest to do for wiring, if you get a non astra GTE engine i.e wiring's in the footwell, not in engine bay on all but that gte
you'll need fuel pump off mpi model, and also a twin outlet header tank

also on this
is the loom from an early model c20xe ie dissy ignition?
if so, you can use it on the gte engine, it's only the late type you cant use on the early one
