When we covered this in my Sexuality and the law module it was rather worrying

Especially as beforehand people were arguing that 16 in the UK was too young.

Most people i know lost their V plates at 13-15 anyway. IMO 14 is about the right age for consent so long as proper sex ed is taught. Kids will fuck wether its legal or not, they just need educating on contraception a bit more. 9 is too young - but most 12 year old girls are more mature than 21 y/o males so maybe the males age of consent should be higher lol
